A total of 60 youths around the central division are participating in a four day training program organized by the Fiji National Sports Commission and Fiji Police Force at the Methodist Church Hall in Nadera. The program includes stakeholders from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Youth & Sports who have come onboard to assist the youths in various health and wellbeing initiative. The Fiji Police will focus on the impacts of drug awareness and the implications it has on any community. The workshop ends this Friday.

The "Let's Swim Fiji" Train the Trainer Course at Nadi Airport School, began yesterday with 18 swim instructors being trained basic swim strokes and water survival skills. The Swim Coaches, upon return to their clubs , then need 20 hours of practical before their final assessment. Hats off to mentor, Trisa Cheer and her "Lets Swim Fiji" team.

The 2 day Volleyball and Penalty Shoot In tournament was organised by Holy Cross committee.
The Northern FNSC team assisted with match officials and sports equipments.
Labasa Volleyball Association member (Vuli) and our TOT Volunteer Daniel Tazim were match officials for the 2 day event.
For Volleyball, Nakalou Black Out won the tournament and walked away with $300 cash whereas River Side were runners-up and walked away with $150 cash.
The two semi finalists, Two Bags and Tuatua received $50 each.
For Penalty Shoot In, Koi Baat Nai and Babasiga Friends Shared the winner and runners-up prizes.
The winner prize was 1 Male Sheep and for runners-up 1 Male Goat.
We acknowledge the organising committee for organising this event for 4th year in a running.
This is a great impact after 2015 Vunisea, Dreketi TOT program as youths are involved in yearly competition.
